What the extension does
ScriptLens reads the content of the case-management pages it is configured for that you open, evaluates the visible intake and refill answers against a configured set of clinical acceptance criteria, and visually highlights answers that do not meet those criteria while showing a per-case summary. All of this processing happens locally, in the page, on your computer.
Data collection
The extension collects no data. Specifically:
- It does not send any data to the developer or any third party.
- It contains no analytics, tracking, telemetry, or advertising.
- It does not use cookies or persistent identifiers to evaluate a case.
- It does not read or transmit your browsing history.
- The highlights it draws are temporary visual styling and are discarded when the page is refreshed or closed.
Permissions
The extension requests access to the single case-management website it is configured for so that it can read and highlight case pages on that site. It has no access to
any other website. It also uses Chrome's identity permission for the
limited purpose described below.
Account verification (licensed access)
ScriptLens is licensed to specific authorized users. To enforce this, the extension reads the email address of the Google account signed into Chrome and compares it, entirely on your device, against an allowlist of authorized accounts and domains. This email is used only to decide whether the extension activates. It is not transmitted, stored, logged, or shared with the developer or any third party.
Protected health information (PHI)
Because the extension performs all processing locally and transmits nothing, it does not create, receive, maintain, or transmit PHI outside your browser. The patient data shown on those pages remains within your case-management platform and on your device.
Licensing
Where ScriptLens is provided under a paid license, license verification (if used) involves only a license identifier and never patient data. Any such processing is limited to confirming entitlement and is described to licensees at the time of purchase.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL and the “Last updated” date revised.
